Everybody talks; everybody hears; everybody listens.
Nobody can ever tell who truly understands, and who does not.
But that doesn’t mean everybody should just stop talking.
Talking, is always talking about things, and things are always more than just this talk.
Things can never become the talk about them.
So, the talk about things can never end for good.
Now, the idea that the talk can end for good, is something that can still be talked about.
Since to talk is always eventually to stop talking.
But the topics of conversation don’t really tell us what is talked about.
Sometimes, what is talked about is really nothing.
To say that nothing is being talked about, is not to put an end to the talk about nothing.
Really, it is to talk about absolutely nothing at all.
All this talk about nothing has to finally end.
But to say that out loud, is to prolong the talk about nothing.
To talk nonstop about shutting up, is the way you can’t seem to stop talking.
So, shut up.
Talk about other things instead.
Don’t try to figure out what to talk about first.
Figure it out by talking.
Don’t worry about not talking right.
The more you worry about that, the more you’ll talk wrong.
That’s why you worry about talking all the time.
You’re talking about why you’re worried about talking all the time.
And it makes you literally unable to shut the fuck up.
Which is exactly why you need to shut the fuck up.
So, for the last time: please, shut, the fuck, up.
“Dialectics not a standpoint”
This is how Trotsky would have needed to be told only once. ;)
